How to participate in our auctions

First, to participate in auctions, you must be a registered user. You can create your user account directly on the product page you want to bid on or through the login icon in the website menu.
On the product page, you will see a box of auction options, which shows a countdown until the end of the auction, the current bid for the item, the list of bids, and a button to place your own bid.
The bidding process begins by clicking this button. A window will appear where you can enter the bid you wish to place on the item being auctioned. It is possible that the item has a set starting price, in which case you will not be able to place a bid lower than this. Once you have entered the amount of your bid, you must confirm it for it to be effective. Once the bid is confirmed, you can check if you are in first place or if you have been outbid.

AUTOMATIC BIDS AND OUTBIDS:
When bidding, you can indicate the maximum amount you are willing to pay for the item. If another user places a bid lower than your maximum bid, you will remain in first place until a user places a bid that surpasses yours. This process is called automatic bidding, as you do not need to place new bids to remain in first place.
If another user places an effective bid higher than yours, you have been outbid. You will receive an email notification in this case, so you can place a higher bid if you wish.

AUCTION TRACKING:
You can track items in auction that you are interested in by clicking the "Follow this auction" button. The product is added to a default watchlist where you can follow the evolution of your bids and edit them if you deem it appropriate. You can access your auction watchlist at this link.

AUCTION CLOSE, PAYMENT AND SHIPPING:
The auction closes at the end of the time indicated on the product page. However, bids placed in the final minutes of the auction may slightly extend the auction time, so you have time to place new bids to stay in first place. Once the auction ends, the lot is automatically awarded to the bidder in first place.
The auction winner has 24 hours from the end of the auction to formalize payment for the won lot. After this time, the lot may be awarded to the next bidder on the list, and the winner loses all rights to it.
Once payment for the lot is received, shipping is processed under the same conditions as a direct sale item. You can review these conditions in the Terms and Conditions section of Regent’s Auctions.
